Lisa Werring, executive director, calls SurreyCares "the charity for charities" in Surrey.

"We are proud of our work connecting funders and the not-for-profit organizations that deliver a wide array of programs and services to support poverty reduction and social inclusion in our city, ... We are thrilled to have four inspirational women (share) their powerful journeys as we celebrate International Women’s Day."
- Lisa Werring, SurreyCares Community Foundation ED
Locke says International Women’s Day is about "honouring the trailblazers who inspire us with their courage, determination and generosity of spirit. As we gather to celebrate the extraordinary women of Surrey, let us acknowledge the strength and resilience that each of us brings to our communities. We must continue to lift each other up, support one another's aspirations, and strive for a Surrey that is inclusive and equitable — a city where everyone matters."
